PBS Book Review Contest!

brc pen med

We have something fun to announce…the debut of our Book Review Contest on our Facebook page!

Share your book reviews with others, win Wish List books – what could be better? Here’s how it works:

1)  Write a book review on PaperBackSwap.
2)  Share it on your Facebook timeline and tag the PaperBackSwap Facebook page
3)  You are automatically entered into the contest!

Each week, we will pick finalists from the entries. Then our members will vote on the best review and the winner will get a new book from his/her Wish List (see rules for details).

Check the FAQs for all the details,  and then take a look at your BIR List or Transaction Archive or Bookshelf for inspiration, and get reviewing!  We hope you decide to contribute – book reviews really make a positive difference in the club!

Happy reading (and reviewing),

Richard and
The PaperBackSwap Team

HI, My name is Oswaldo Reyes and i am an avid reader and book collector.I have also been a member of PBS for almost two years now.I love this book club.I think it’s a great book club.I tell all my friends that PAPERBACK SWAP is the best book club in AMERICA ,and when i say that i am not exaggerating. It’s because it is the best.I have written and submitted book reviews at PBS for free since i became a member.I benefited because a lot of the books i have reviewed, i have gotten back requests and i have swapped them,NOW PBS has created a book review contest.I am very excited and can’t wait to see who the winner’s are, i am submitting my first book review today.I have a lot of books on my wish list, that i would love to win.LET THE PAPERBACK SWAP CONTEST BEGIN !

I have been with PBS for more than 4 yrs & I love that I can get missing pieces to series as well as brand new books (if you get on the list quickly). I haven’t done many reviews but do read others often to help me decide. I guess I’m not sure what constitutes a ‘BEST’ review. Any suggestions on how to write a stellar review? I’d like to try if it means so much to this great club that they put up a contest to encourage more of them from us!! I’m an avid PBSer & would do anything to help this club grow & stay alive!!

I am an avid reader and book collector.I also have an online used book selling business ,that for the past 5 years has been doing remarkably well.Books are my life i love reading .I have been reading books since i was strong enough to hold one.I have a personal collection of books ,that only contain the writers i love to follow. These are the books that i read and really enjoy ,these books are also the one’s that i base my reviews on when i submit one.All the books i keep in my personal collection are considered 5 stars. If they are not considered 5 stars they will not make into my personal collection.I have read hundreds of books.Reviews i have not written hundreds, but have written a few.I have won a few contests based on my reviews already. The last one i won was by BOOK REPORTER .COM , i wrote a review that a lot of people liked and i won the contest. It really surprised me when i won.I never thought i would win.Susanne, when you are going to write a review on a book, let the other readers know how the story made you feel.Try not to add spoilers, never tell the other readers exactly what the story is about, instead tell them what your personal thoughts are ,about what you have read. You can pick a character in the story and write a little about him/her.Let them know your recommendations. If you think ,
the book is worth reading by other readers. That is one thing i look for in a review ,i like to know what the other reader thinks. Is this book worth my time ? I listen to things like that in a review.Try telling us what you thought about the plot and the story line without getting into too much detail. You will notice that as you write more and more reviews ,they will get better.Good luck on your book review.Susanne.I look forward to reading it.ALL the best. I’m not very good at book reviews, but I am reading Andrea Kane’s series and loved it. Out of all three in the series the second one, won my heart. All three of them are outstanding, because I am an avid reader and if I don’t like a book I would tell you so.
But this authors books are outstanding. The Line Between here and gone made me cry in some parts, the baby and mother make the book, and the F.I. characters were written in such a way that you had to wonder what some of their back grounds were. It never really coomes out and says, but you put it together in your mind who they are. The one is a navy seal, one is a computer geek, the other one is FBI, but the .woman who runs it is awesome. They go in search of the father of the baby a run into a lot gangsters, and senators and cops who are all crooked. I would recommend this author and a lot of others I’ve read to any one
