I just wanted to share something with other PBS members.I have been a member of PBS for 2 or 3 years now.i am not sure.I am an avid reader and book collector.I also own a home -based book selling business called : LOVE IN BOOKS. I sell books to other book collectors like myself and i also sell books on eBAY and AMAZON.COM.I wanted to say that a few weeks ago i requested a book here on PBS and i paid my credit for it and waited for my book to arrive in the mail.I waited and finally my book arrived and when i unwrapped it, i was shocked at the condition of this book.The book had pages that were torn, it was dog eared in some areas inside the book.A corner on the front cover of the book was dog eared as well.This book was in really bad shape.I thought to myself ,well how could a PBS member expect another member to be happy with the condition this book is in.I immediately contacted my librarian and explained the situation to her by email , as i was waiting for an answer from the librarian ,i took like 7 pictures of the book.I wanted people to sell the condition this book was in.It was actually comical to think that someone was not gonna report this.The librarian contacted me and instructed me to contact the sender via email and explain to him or her that this was totally unacceptable. I contacted the sender and without being disrespectful explained that i could not accept this book in this condition.I was appalled when the sender sent me an email stating that she did not think the book was so bad but that she would be happy to refund my credit back.I emailed a response saying, with all due respect how could you send a fellow PBS member a book in these conditions ? Anyway, my credit was returned , BUT. Please do not mail another PBS member a book that honestly should have been put in the trash.It not only makes the person look bad .It also looks bad for PBS.We must take good care of our books so when we swap them with another member there is very little wear and tear.Our books should seem like they were gently used.I say a happy PBS member is a HAPPY READER. So my fellow PBS members,i wish you all well, until next time and HAPPY READING !

I’ve been a member since 1/7/2006 and I love PBS. I love it so much that I didn’t even balk at paying to become a member a few weeks ago! I have traded a number of books here, and it’s almost always been awesome or beyond awesome. I have fulfilled a lot of my wish list books and I hope to continue to do so for years to come!
