To celebrate the first full day of spring, it is Free Book Friday!
Today’s Free Book is:
The Name of the Wind
by Patrick Rothfuss
The Kingkiller Chronicle: Day One . . . — MY NAME IS KVOTHE — I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I burned down the town of Trebon. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I was expelled form the University at a younger age than most people are allowed in. I tread paths by moonlighting that others fear to speak of during the day. I have talked to gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep.
You may have heard of me . . . So begins a tale unequaled in fantasy literature — the story of a hero told in his own voice. It is a tale of sorrow, a tale of survival, a tale of one man’s search for meaning in his universe, and how that search, and how indomitable will that drove it, gave birth to a legend.

what an intriguing book..thanks for having the contest
Thanks for offering this!!
This is a good one! Pat Rothfuss is quite the author.
cool! a contest! + I’ve been wanting to read this. I checked it out from the library once, but, it was too thick to read in a timely fashion with everything life was insisting on throwing at me at the time.
I am always willing to try a new fantasy author or book.
Don’t know the author or title (yet!), but when I see that this title has so many wishes (217) then I know that the author has written bools in such a manner that it strikes a cord with the reading audience. Sounds like a good read and if I’m fortunate to win a copy on “FREE BOOK FRIDAY” (what a title itself!) then I would read it from cover to cover to see what this author has to offer!
– It’s hard to put a good book down!!!
Currently reading “Cat Daddy” as well as “The Seven Towers” series (Books 1 thru 7 – just finished “Herman Volumes 1 and 2 (for the 20th time each!) and “Blood: The Last Vampire (Night Of The Beast)” (also watched the movie version on Crackle dot com – 2 thumbs up for action!)
I would love to read this book!
I hadn’t heard of this author before and this book sounds terrific. I’d love to read it! I put it on my wish list, but it would be terrific to be able to read it without having to wait sooo long for my wish to come to the top of the list. 🙂
