I am thankful for friends who invite and allow us to share this family holiday with their family. Our children are all far away, so we have no family here, and this family has included us in their celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas for three years. So, for Dixie and Leonard and their children—a huge THANK YOU. I am also thankful for relatively good health for myself and for my husband and my mother, sister, children, grandchildren, and great-grands. May everyone have a blessed holiday.
I am thankful that my husband, who has been trying to return from Central America for the past 3 days, will be here in time for Thanksgiving.
I am thankful for my whole huge crazy family, having a roof over my head, food to eat and health care when so many go without, all my friends, old and new(especially my book friends!), my dogs and most especially my loving and wonderful husband. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I am thankful for my wonderful family and friends, who are always my cheerleaders, helping me navigate through the most difficult times in life. I am thankful for my beautiful grandchildren, who give me more joy in life than I could have ever imagined and make life worthwhile. I am so proud of my own children, who, despite my parenting, have become strong, independent, compassionate adults. I take nothing for granted, not my warm bed, modest home or nutritious food.
