  48. It is a happy day when I see a book I have selected from Swap being delivered by my post person.

I read a couple books a week and so the thrill of a selected book allows me to read that much more and choose what I read…not just pick up a few books that are available and then find out I have no interest in their plots.

I found Deborah Smith here at Swap and she has been a delight. Each summer I do a special read. I try to read all of an author’s books.

One summer it was Jack Higgins and his World War II novels, The Eagle has Flown and the Eagle has landed. They did indeed and I enjoyed the whole summer…inside.

This summer I’m back in 1865 with President Lincoln and his assassination. I’ve read Manhunt, Henry & Clara (the guests of President and Mrs. Lincoln at Ford’s Theatre on 14 April 1865) and this summer I will not wilt in the Florida heat but read, thanks to PAPERBACKSWAP and their fine members. Bon

  49. Reading An American Tragedy would be a pleasure. Yes, we all saw the movie with Elizabeth Taylor, Shelley Winters, and Montomery Cliff and they did an excellent job but reading the original copy would certainly be a pleasure for me. I believe Shelley got an Oscar for her performance.

  50. Teresa W. (tetewa) says:

I would like to give tis one a try!
